During the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2025 in Geneva, we had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Kamal Kishore, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for DRR. Our bilateral discussion focused on the activities and vision of the Arab Science and Technology Advisory Group (Arab STAG), particularly in the areas of education for DRR, Making Cities Resilient, and the Early Warning for All initiative. We also took this opportunity to extend a formal invitation to Dr. Kamal to Lebanon, for the official launch of the National Center for Natural Hazards and Early Warning, established under the CNRS-L. Advancing regional collaboration in disaster resilience remains a shared priority.
