Following the completion of the Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (RDNA) and the Lebanon Emergency Assistance Project (LEAP) in collaboration with the World Bank, the National Council for Scientific Research in Lebanon (CNRS-L) welcomed a delegation from the World Bank Board of Directors in Washington, alongside the Council for Development and Reconstruction, on 15 January 2026.

The delegation met with Dr. Chadi Abdallah, Secretary General of the Council, to review the scientific survey of post-ceasefire damages, including the collection and analysis of statistics, maps, and the resulting damage assessments.

The delegation also visited the National Center for Natural Hazards and Early Warning, where they examined statistical data and damage assessments using high-resolution satellite imagery.
