Visit by Mrs. Alessandra Piermattei, Director of the Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo – AICS, and Mr. Dario Mancinelli to the National Early Warning System Platform (NEWSP) at CNRS-L. During this visit, the CNRS team had the opportunity to present the latest developments and advancements related to the Floods and Forest Fire components of the Sealacom project.

The CNRS team also provided an in-depth overview of the various tools, modules, and applications that are currently under development. These initiatives are the result of collaborative efforts between CNRS and the CIMA Research Foundation, and they are primarily focused on enhancing EWS capabilities within the DEWETRA platform.

The visit served as an important exchange of knowledge and ideas, highlighting the significant progress made in strengthening early warning systems for floods and forestfire management. It allowed for a deeper understanding of the ongoing collaborative efforts between CNRS Lebanon and its partners, contributing to the overall success of the project funded by AICS.
